Current Favs

Just sharing what I'm all-about this month!
:)

Temple Run 2. It's an app that's a game where you just 'run' collecting coins. So addicting! And Temple Run 2 is a-whole-nother level of lame-game-dweeb addiction.

Snap Chat. Another app (if it's new to you...) It's like pic messaging, but what you send to others only lasts max 10 seconds. Its so fun to send quirky pic messages that would otherwise be super weird to send.

Some of my favorites from friends...(yes, I'm a screenshot-er!)

Current Must-Have

Ok- So I know there have been a MILLION coconut oil/avocado/milk + honey/whatever else  kinds of HAIR MASK tutorials flooding Pinterest and the beauty blog-o-shere…I have even done a coconut oil hair mask with my sister! But I have got to share a conditioner (yes! just a simple conditioner) I recently came across that is LIFECHANGING and sooooo much better than those messy, complicated, and time consuming masks.
What it is: Nexxus Humectress Conditioner.
Why it is so awesome: It leaves my hair touchably soft and immediately noticeably smooth and silky (like I’m talking rinsing in the shower you can feel the transformation). It has Vitamin E, Coconut Oil, and Honey Extract in it….so it’s like a professional version of those Pinterest hair masks without the mess and uncertainty that comes from dumping items from your fridge + pantry on your hair. I especially love that coconut oil is in it, because coconut oil is what is most absorbable by the hair (our hair likes it more than argan oil or grape seed oil, etc…).
I have relatively fine and flat hair…but this stuff doesn’t weigh it down, which is awesome (obviously). Actually- when I did an online search for it, I saw a few people had left reviews/comments saying it was “too light…” Ha!
It’s about $15 for a decent sized bottle. Which sure- is more than drugstore shampoo, but actually on the lower end of salon products.

One of the best smoothies ever!

...is this simple spinach smoothie! My sister and I are obsessed with them. It’s the best because it’s super simple, super quick, and is AWESOME for you (super awesome for you). Very filling, and also so refreshing on a hot day. (I am definitely looking ahead to summer)

Ingredients:

1.       About a cup of Almond/Coconut milk blend. Blue Diamond brand has a good one. But it doesn’t really matter. You can use sweetened or unsweetened depending on preference.
2.       Greek Yogurt. Recommended flavors: Vanilla, Strawberry or Apple Cinnamon
3.       One banana. You’ll wanna use a ripe one for more flavor
4.       ICE!
5.       Spinach! A lot of it. (I fill the rest of the blender up). You can also use a mix of other greens, like kale. But I think spinach tastes the best.
